Hi first of all i want to thank you for the wonderful products. Second for the support that you give with this forum. I want to paint my cub's exhaust which is now painting with a black paint. I had order a paint strip and a high temperature paint. The procedure of cleaning the exhaust is to apply the paint strip and then directly paint with flameproof paint? Do i need any primer? Thank you.

Thank you! We appreciate our customers!
As far as the exhaust project goes, you'll want to use the paint stripper and then use a scuff pad to clean it the best you can. You'll want to follow up with a degreaser and allow it to dry thoroughly before painting. We're going to recommend using one of our Flameproof primers (Gray - SP100 or White SP118) before applying the Flameproof color for the best results. It really depends on the condition of the exhaust as to whether you need a primer. You mentioned it was painted black, so if you're planning to go with a lighter color (like white, yellow or gray) then a primer would be a good idea. You may also want to prime it if there are discolorations or you can't thoroughly remove the existing paint.
