OTHER THAN THE COLOR, is there a difference between the SP100 Grey Primer and the SP118 White Primer? Why is it recommended on the SP100 can to use the SP118 Primer? Is SP100 Grey Primer a "color" of Flameproof "paint" , or is it a "primer"??? I purchased the SP100 and the SP102 Flameproof paint for my motorcycle exhaust collector(between headers and mufflers). Is here an advantage to applying coats of SP100 followed by coats of SP102, versus applying the same total number of coats of SP102 only?

Gary,
Our suggestion would be to scuff it with emery cloth and then use our Flameproof products. You can prime it with SP100 Grey Primer or SP118 White Primer and then follow it with SP102 Black Flameproof (all Flameproof colors are flat). As always, you'll want to be sure to clean the piece properly before painting. We suggest Dupli-Color Prep Spray (PS 100) as a degreaser.
Also, most importantly, make sure you follow the curing instructions for Flameproof which are printed on the can and also posted here on the website. The paint will not work properly if curing isn't complete.
Make sure to post some pics in our Winners Circle when it's done!
