I am getting ready to put a new engine in my jeep. Before installing it I plan on painting the engine, valve cover, transfer case, and transmission. I have looked at both flame proof paint and the engine enamel paint. I prefer to use the Flame Proof due to liking the higher temperatures.

So will it work as good on the engine and so forth? Also, what about the curing process. If I follow your directions for curing after it is installed will the valve cover, transfer case, transmission and so on get hot enough to cure properly. I do not have the option to cure by heating another way. Is my best bet to chose the engine enamel even though it offers a lower temperature rating?

Thanks for the help.

Let me start off by mentioning that all Flame Proof paints are flat, no gloss what so ever. I suggest using the Engine Enamels for all of your engine, valve cover, trans and xfer case. None of these parts will ever get above 300 degrees or you have problems. :D Use the Flame Proof on the exhaust and exhaust headers or manifolds and the Engine paint your driveline. You will be very happy with your results.
